Thanks for your reflections on LG. Hearing about your time time with Glück, being at the Academy of American Poets, and in Lucie's class filled me with sharp nostalgia for the times of our lives. What a great loss. What great losses we live through.

It's so hard to recalibrate after one of these figures dies. I guess I thought Louise would live forever? Those books are so fully alive for me--that voice just lifts and fills up my consciousness when I read her--poetry as resurrection. Thanks for reading this, Tree.
